RoomSketch3D exports a print-ready PDF directly — you no longer need to export a PNG and print it from your browser. The PDF comes from the same Export dialog as the 2D image, just with the format set to PDF.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the export dialog

Top bar → Share / Export → Export to Image / PDF. The Export floor plan dialog opens.

  2. 2

    Switch the format to PDF

At the top of the dialog, set FORMAT to PDF (Print / email). The action button changes to Export PDF.

Set the format to PDF — the export becomes a print-ready document.
  3. 3

    Set print options

For a clean print: - Black & white (architectural style) = on — strips colors for a pure line drawing - Measurements = on (wall lengths and dimensions) - Labels = on (room and furniture names) - Room tints = off (saves ink) - Grid = off (visual clutter on paper)

  4. 4

    Export the PDF

Click Export PDF. A print-ready PDF downloads — open it and print, attach it to an email, or send it on. No browser print step needed.

  5. 5

    Printing directly (optional)

Once you have the PDF, print it from any PDF viewer (Ctrl+P / Cmd+P). For an oversized plan, most printer drivers can tile it across multiple pages — look for Poster or Tile in the print dialog.

Tips

PDF is the share-and-print format

A PDF prints cleanly on any device and is easy to email or attach. Use black & white with measurements for a working drawing a contractor can build from.

Frequently asked questions

Do I still need to print from my browser?

No. RoomSketch3D exports a PDF directly from the Export dialog — set the format to PDF and click Export PDF. The browser print route is no longer necessary.

PNG or PDF for printing?

PDF. It's print-ready, keeps crisp lines at any size, and is easy to email. Use PNG when you need an image to drop into a document or slide.
