“My design didn't save” — understanding offline behavior

If a change didn't seem to stick, here's how to read the sync indicator and what's actually going on.

Updated 2026-06-10

If a change didn't seem to save, the sync indicator tells you why.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Read the sync indicator

Top bar shows one of three states: - Synced ✓ — all changes saved to cloud. - Syncing… — save in flight; just wait. - Offline — no internet. Changes save locally only.

  2. 2

    Offline behavior

When offline, every edit queues locally. As soon as you reconnect, the queue uploads automatically. No work lost.

  3. 3

If you see 'Offline' but think you're online

Refresh the page. Check that the browser tab isn't paused. If on mobile, check airplane mode / cellular settings.

  4. 4

    Recovery

If a session crashes, the auto-save (every 3 seconds) means at most ~3 seconds of work could be lost. The next time you open the design, it picks up from the last sync point.
